I’ve been lamenting the lack of good French movies on Netflix lately.  Every once in awhile a fantastic movie will come up (like The Intouchables), but for the most part, I’ve found the selection a little mundane – how many “coming-of-age” films can a person watch, really?

So, I was thrilled to find Call My Agent! (in French, Dix Pour Cent) as a new addition to the Netflix lineup. Set in Paris, the series follows a group of talent agents as they manage their clients, the business, and their personal affairs. If you’re a fan of Cedric Klapsich (L’auberge espagnole, Les poupées russes, Casse-tête chinois), you’ll enjoy this.

There are quite a few cameo appearances by famous French actors too.  (I really enjoy the scenes where they’re walking around Paris, because it gives me glimpses of my favorite city…a sort of band-aid over my aching heart since I can’t be there as often as I’d like.)
